About the Zelle Community Development & Entrepreneurship Scholarship

This Congressional Black Caucus Foundation award supports MBA students pursuing small business ownership through acquisition at one of five participating HBCUs: Claflin University, Howard University, Jackson State University, Morgan State University, and Virginia State University. Applicants must be a member of their institution's Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (ETA) club or program. The 2026 deadline was March 13, 2026.

Minority-focused. Open to students from underrepresented or minority backgrounds, including Black students.

Who is eligible

To apply for the Zelle Community Development & Entrepreneurship Scholarship, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation requires that you meet all of the following:

• Be an MBA student pursuing small business ownership through acquisition
• Be enrolled at Claflin University, Howard University, Jackson State University, Morgan State University, or Virginia State University
• Be a member of the institution's Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (ETA) club or program
